Albums from John Grant

The critically acclaimed albums from John Grant ("Queen of Denmark") and Lucas Renney ("Strange Glory") are out now, featuring my orchestral arrangements.

Q magazine rates Renney's single "A Tear in the Sea" and commends its "heartbreakingly beautiful orchestral sheen" (Q Magazine essential downloads Aug 2010).
You can listen to this track on my Audio Clips page.
Placebo "Battle for the Sun", Howard Jones "Ordinary Heroes", Gemma Ray "Lights out Zoltar!" are still going strong too.

I am on tour with Placebo (see www.placeboworld.co.uk for gigs) until the end October.

And... "The Separate" string quartet album is now finished!! Featured vocalists include Brian Molko, Ed Harcourt, Mark Lanegan, Martha Wainwright, Patrick Wolf... this album will be released on Setanta Records at the end of this year.

So what can we expect next from Lizzy Pattinson?

Songwriting for the rest of the year and showcasing new songs at gigs in London. I’ve also been collaborating with really varied artists and bands. I recently recorded a duet with Brian Molko from Placebo called ‘Inseparable’ and a duet with British band Beatbullyz called ‘Heartbeat’, which will be on their album, released September 19t.

Bright lights in Saint-Petersburg

last night Brian sang "now that I've stared into the void so many RUSSIANS I've annoyed" :)

the hall was terrible - it practically killed the most of the band's sound.
i danced the whole way through anyway :)
thought it is a bit short gig. 1 hour 22 minutes. missed the ballades.
all apologies were great - especially the last vocal acapella part.

here's the hall right after the show:
