Plecebo Unveil One Off London Show September show confirmed

Multi-national goth rockers Placebo have unveiled plans for a one off London show.

Love or loathe them, Placebo just keep on going. The band long ago fell out of critical favour, but Brian Molko & Co. know what their fans like and seem to keep gaining more and more followers.

Returning last year, Placebo released their new album 'Battle For The Sun'. Unsurprisingly, critics were unforgiving but fans lapped up the material turning it into one of the band's most successful efforts in a decade.

Touring widely, the group played a showstopping set at RockNess last summer. However not everyone was enamoured with the band and Placebo were forced to retreat after someone threw a pair of scissors at Brian Molko.

Now 'Battle For The Sun' is due to get the expansive treatment. Set to be released later this year, Placebo have gathered together a range of unreleased and rare material associated with the record.

Due for release on September 27th, Placebo will follow 'Battle For The Sun: Redux' with a one off show. Taking place at London's O2 Academy Brixton the rare live date is almost certain to sell out.

Tickets for the show are set to go on sale from 9am this Friday (August 6th).

Meanwhile, Placebo frontman Brian Molko is set to take part in a new project. The singer is working with various former members of the Cooper Temple Clause on a new album which should see the light of day before the year is out.
